Winning at PRIX JEUNESSE is children's television's highest honour. Participating in PRIX JEUNESSE is children's television's most engaging and rewarding professional training exercise. The bi-annual competition is distinctive because prizes are not awarded by a small, select jury. All participants may help select the winners. Prizes are awarded for overall excellence and for special achievements based on specific criteria.

The PRIX JEUNESSE Foundation was established in 1964 by the Free State of Bavaria, the City of Munich and Bayerischer Rundfunk. Zweites Deutsches Fernsehen (ZDF) joined the Foundation in 1971 and the Bayerische Landeszentrale für neue Medien (BLM) in 1992....
